They were here, in Athens, last night, another concert under the stars.Eric Burdon and the Animals.
They played a mix of old classics and new songs:
"Don't let me be misunderstood","We gotta get out of this place",
"It's my life",etc, the last song of the evening, of course was,
"The House of the Rising Sun".
Some songs came out of Eric Burdon's
new CD, called :
"My Secret Life", sold at the concert...
They also did some covers, which was interesting; they played:
-"The World is a Ghetto" a Temptations song
-Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away", (done by the Rolling Stones as well, way back then...)
-"Get Up, Stand Up", yes!!!! the Bob Marley song!
Eric Burdon's voice, seems to be getting better and better every year
and he had quite the spank on stage, a very lively band, they had
a good time performing for us and the audience participated fully.
