A..Bigger..Bang/
Athens..2006/(or is that 2007?)...do..not..miss!
So, the Rolling Stones are coming to Athens again.
This is the third time: The first time it was in the seventies,
ended up being a half-canceled show, then they came about 10 years ago
for the "Bridges to Babylon" and now this.
Since I had seen them in Vancouver, I thought I'll skip this one,
...but something has been troubling me:
First, I have to say that I had seen Mick Jagger in a dream
about three years ago and now, just a few days ago,
when their ticket sales were announced and I decided NOT to get
a ticket, I saw ALL four of them in my sleep (apparently,
they were visiting with me in my apartment and it's a small place).
I laughed in the morning, and let it pass, BUT again I had a dream
of Mick Jagger (being in my custody supposevely, just like
in the first dream, for me to keep an eye on him, while he was in Athens and away from public eyes...!!!! )
I aways appreciated/loved the Rolling Stones and their music, but never to the point
that would explain me
dreaming of them...so this,
as amusing as it sounds, has been puzzling for me: to the point that,
I actually went to the ticket office last Friday, and got myself
a ticket (standing , close to the stage) for the 25th of June........
Of course, since then, a lot has happened; Keith and Ron went to Fiji for holidays, and after having too much fun, the band had to cancel a few shows, as we all very well know...So, the Athens show was cancelled as well, but this didn't stop me from seeing the band: conviniently, I had planned visiting some friends in London, around the same time the Stones were playing in Twickenham, so I got to witness and enjoy the Bigger Bang, after all... The memories and pleasure of the August 22nd show, should keep me content till next summer; that's when the Stones are rumored to be playing in Europe again (Athens including of course), making up to the cities they left behind, because of Keef's injury.
See you then!
